  • Day 1: Travel to Jasper

    Travel to Jasper! Expect to see wildlife once to enter the park and once you arrive, visit the sites of Pyramid Lake, Athabasca Falls or the view from Old Fort Point. Overnight at The Crimson Jasper, your majestic mountain home for the next couple nights!
    After a long day of action, visit Jasper Brewing Company. This modern brewery offers housemade craft beers made with mountain glacial water and is accompanied by elevated pub food. This is a lively place and can be packed during weekend meal times. Get there early and try the Pesto Pasta!

    Before you head to Jasper, add a night or two in Edmonton. Explore the beautiful river valley, be amused in the sports and entertainment district, emerse yourself the funky, bohemian spirit of Whyte Avenue or shop to your hearts content at West Edmonton Mall; the largest mall in North America.

  • Day 2: Maligne Canyon Icewalk

    This is one of Jasper’s most popular and extraordinary winter adventures. Your tour guide will lead you on a walk to the bottom of Maligne Canyon where you can observe amazing waterfalls, ice caves and ice formations from atop the frozen river. Your 3-3.5 hour adventure with showcase unique frozen features and you will learn about Jasper’s Maligne Valley, Karst topography, and the mystery of the disappearing Medicine Lake.
    We recommend visiting Evil Dave’s Grill to indulge in a meal that captures Jasper’s mountain town spirit and casual feel with the freshest and most innovative plates.

    Participate in an enchanting winter snowshoe tour to explore some of Jasper’s most beautiful landscapes. Knowledgeable guides will teach you different history, geology and ecology as you adventure through the snow searching for animal tracks and listening for the song of the chickadee.

  • Day 3: Hit the Slopes

    Bundle up in your warmest winter wear and head up to Marmot Basin to ride any of the 91 named runs on four mountain faces with 3,000 vertical feet of drop. The mountain has trails for people of all skill levels, including 30% green (beginner), 30% blue (intermediate) and 40% black (advanced). Enjoy a tasty meal or a warm beverage at any of the 3 on-mountain day lodges.
    Evil Dave’s Grill is a funky, upbeat, family-owned restaurant with a globally inspired menu. They make “wicked food” with fresh ingredients and creative flare! Try their El Diablo, Wicked Burger, Typhoon Noodles, or Nefarious Chicken. And don’t forget to save room for a dessert!

    Include rentals or lessons with your package. The Rental & Repair shop offers standard and high performance rentals of skis, snowboards, boots and poles. The Snow Sports School offers lessons for first time skiers and snowboarders, high performance clinics, freeride clinics, private lessons and a variety of children’s programs.

  • Day 4: Lake Louise

    Say goodbye to Jasper as you head south on the scenic Icefields Parkway that parallels the Continental Divide, traversing the rugged landscape of the Canadian Rockies. You’ll get to view the frozen Athabasca Falls, Bow and Peyto Lake along the way. As you make your way to Lake Louise, head up to the iconic Chateau Lake Louise where you can enjoy world class views. Named as one of the “10 most beautiful ice skating rinks in the world,” by CNN Travel, you can rent skates and carve up the sheet of ice while appreciating the view of the Victoria Glacier and the surrounding snow frosted Rocky Mountains. Once you have had your fill, stop in to view the ice castle at the Chateau Fairmont Lake Louise before heading south. Continue to Banff to overnight at the Canalta Lodge, your magnificent basecamp for the next couple nights!
    If you need fuel, its best to fill up in the town of Lake Louise before you drive the 40 minutes towards Banff.

  • Day 5: Play in the Snow

    Don your winter wear and venture to the snowy slopes of Lake Louise ski area where you will participate in guided snowshoe tour. You will see some of the most breathtaking vantage points in the Canadian Rockies. Panoramic winter views await! Then, grab an inflatable tube and experience the thrill of sailing down a snowy chute in the Lake Louise Tube Park. When the towing system deposits you at the top of the hill, soak in the spectacular vistas and fresh mountain air, before hurtling back down the run.
    Enjoy a delicious meal at the award-winning Park Distillery in Banff. Their water originates at six glaciers high in the Rocky Mountains and gains minerality as it travels across rich limestone deposits.

    Take a ride on the Banff Gondola. Experience a world of beauty at the summit of Banff’s Sulphur Mountain. Exploration abounds at the gondola, from a theatre and interpretive centre inside to epic snowy views from the rooftop deck and mountain boardwalk outside.

  • Day 6: Soak up the views

    Wake up, take your time and eat a good breakfast before you jump into your vehicle to drive up to the Banff Upper Hot Springs. Submerge yourself in the 37 and 40ºC mineral-rich water for a soothing soak. Relaxing in the outdoor pool among the jagged peaks of Rundle and Cascade Mountains is a magical experience. Before heading back to the townsite, make a stop at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you can enjoy Afternoon Tea while you linger over a delicious flaky scone, fluffy pastry and finger sandwiches. Spend the rest of the afternoon shopping at Banff’s variety of retail stores and purchase a true Canadian treasure of original art, handcrafted jewelry, native crafts and souvenirs.

    Visit Historic Luxton Museum. The Historic Luxton Home tells the story of a Banff family – Norman Luxton, Georgina McDougall Luxton and their daughter Eleanor. The Home Museum features a glimpse into the life of this pioneer family and of Banff over a period of nine decades. It houses stunning collections of First Nations artifacts, paintings, china, furniture, and more.

  • Day 7: Dog sledding

    Bundle up and get ready to take a ride of a lifetime! You will get to meet your sled team and enjoy the connection with various Huskies before your tour. Grip the handlebar as you take your place on the sled runners. “Hike!” you shout with enthusiasm; as your team guides you through entwined forests of towering black spruce, tranquil streams, quaint bridges, frozen lakes and the echoing stillness of the Canadian Rockies.
    For the final evening on the tour, we recommend you visit the Saltlik Banff. This classic steakhouse has a menu that goes beyond that. From succulent seafood to rustic homemade pasta and season-inspired desserts, their team do it all, and they do it all well. Complete your experience with their sommelier-curated wine list and handcrafted cocktails.

  • Day 8: Wolfdog Sanctuary

    Time to pick up your wheels and head to the one and only Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary. This tour takes you inside their Engadine enclosure into a viewing platform with one of their guides. Enjoy the opportunity to learn all about the Sanctuary and get an introduction to what wolfdogs are all about through their 30-minute presentation. This is a great way to photograph one of their packs of wolfdogs as well as having full access to your very own wolfdog expert.
    Wherever you travel, stop along the way to enjoy the view.

    Upgrade your Wolfdog experience to the Interactive Tour of the Sanctuary and come face to face with the animals. Optional: If you leaving out of Calgary you can stop by Calgary Olympic Park to see whats happening there. If you have time, you can enjoy 17th Ave and the many interesting restaurants, pubs and local shopping sites. Option to include accommodations in Calgary.
