Castle Mountain is Alberta’s second biggest ski resort, featuring eight epic mountain bowls spread across two mountains. Castle is a community-run resort with over 200 local shareholders who strive to enhance the resort on a regular basis! This resort offers a significant amount of terrain (more than Fernie and Sunshine), with the majority being advanced and expert. Castle has been providing visitors with exceptional ski experiences for over 50 years, including dry powder snow, superb cuisine, Powder Stagecoach Cat Skiing, breathtaking mountain views, and a superb all-around ski culture.
Castle is the place many have heard about, put on their list of “someday” and haven’t been to yet! It’s easily the best kept secret in Alberta ski resorts. From the old school double chairs to the cool apres’ vibe, Castle is a great experience for every skier/boarder.
If you have had CAT skiing on your list for awhile, this is the place to try it out! You can get lots of laps and they send a photog along to capture your day. The terrain here is BIG, lots of really amazing runs with spectacular snow conditions.
