In the tiny town of Rossland, BC, hides a giant. Red Mountain is a relatively undiscovered ski destination where you don’t have to fight for fresh turns and can enjoy uncrowded slopes. Along the famous Powder Highway, Red brings you 3,850 acres of unspoiled riding, 7.6m of annual snowfall, wide-open groomed runs, impressive vertical (890m), 360-degree descents off select peaks, a gold mine of cat and heli skiing, and the best tree runs in British Columbia.
Red is the oldest resort in Western Canada and they have also seen the most significant terrain expansion in the last decade. Their base is at 1,185m and the top is 2,075m, allowing this massive 5 peak ski resort to see 760cm of snowfall each season. If that doesn’t excite you, then knowing that they have the only snowbound taco truck in Canada should.
