Suggested Itinerary

  • Day 1: Travel to Whitehorse

Welcome to Whitehorse! Hail a taxi or rent a vehicle to make your way into town to explore the city life, visit a grocery store or head directly out to your remote mountain setting. You’re able to check in to your accommodations between 1pm and 4pm only. Please be on time and account for the 30 minute drive from Whitehorse. As you drive up into the Coastal Mountains of Southern Yukon, your cell service will become spotty as your off the grid adventure begins. You will arrive at the ranch and check in at the office building before being showed the layout and led to your cozy log cabin. The building surrounded in the trees is warmed by a wood stove, lights and appliances are all powered by propane, toilets are a nearby outhouse, water used is hauled up from town and your showers are gravity fed. It has an equipped kitchen with a small propane stove and oven, cooler for cold food, pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes, towels etc. Your cabin has a bunk bed with a queen on the bottom and a single on the top (bedding & towels included). Use the rest of your day to explore the site or take a nature walk on one of the many paths in the area. Get a birds eye view of the surrounding mountain range or even head down the Fish Lake.
As the site doesn’t have power, there isn’t a refrigerator. When you pick up your groceries from town, be sure to bring up a bag of ice to keep your food chilled in the cooler.

    (additional charge)

Upgrade your accommodations to the Aurora Cabin to include more space to sleep 4, private sauna, a BBQ, big deck with a view of Fish Lake and a better vantage point to enjoy the spectacular Aurora if it’s around. Or, for groups up to 10 people, they can enjoy The Lodge. This big log building has five bedrooms all with various bedding configurations, a shared kitchen (pots, pans, cooking utensils, dishes, towels etc.), dining room, sitting room, gravity fed shower and outdoor fire pit. The Lodge is like being in the family home; it’s cozy, welcoming and comfortable.
  • Day 2: Soak in the Springs

Good morning! Take your time to get up, enjoy the majestic surroundings and have bite to eat. Spend the early part of your day exploring, being active or doing something creative. In the afternoon, you’ll travel to the hot springs to relax and rejuvenate. You’re in for a one-of-a-kind spa and hot springs experience that has influences from Turkish and Icelandic seating and relax areas to a strong Japanese influence in the hot springs. You will get to enjoy hot pools, Japanese clay tubs, saunas and steam rooms, fire pits, and heated cement loungers. There is no rush to leave, so spend a few hours here and savour the multi-sensory experience as your body rejuvenates.
Book lovers will enjoy visiting the many Little Lending Libraries sprinkled around Whitehorse, as well as a shopping spree for amazing second-hand deals at Well-Read Books, located in the downtown core.

    (additional charge)

Want to connect with animals today? We can add an invigorating hike with husky’s or entry to the the Wildlife Preserve for a self-guided tour to view dall and stone sheep, mountain goats, mule deer, wapiti (elk), woodland caribou, wood bison, musk-ox, moose and even lynx.
  • Day 3: Trail Ride and Departure

It’s time to pack up your belongings and check out of your cabin. Don’t forget to search your room for any leftover belongings; it’s a long way to return to pick up any forgotten items! Once you store your gear, it will be time to saddle up and hit the trail. The ranch will supply a guide and provide all needed equipment and make sure you feel safe with your horse before showing you the best trails in the area on your two hour journey. If you are departing today, make sure you check in for your flight and arrange for transportation to the airport. The airport is small and has limited amenities compared to others around the world, so grab a snack before you depart.
After a long day outdoors, you must be hungry! With various options to enjoy a delicious meal in downtown Whitehorse, we suggest that you visit Antoinette’s, G&P, Miner’s Daughter, Gold Pan Saloon or Gather Cafe & Taphouse.

    (additional charge)

Depending on your flight’s departure, you could include a half day museum hopping or see more of the city of Whitehorse. Or, extend your Whitehorse tour to explore the territory and take a road trip to visit Carcross, Dawson City, Haines Junction or explore their beautiful National Parks. We have many Yukon travel packages that we can create around your schedule.
