  • Day 1: Travel to Whitehorse

Welcome to the capital of the Yukon! Whitehorse is home to most of the population of the territory, and the city is full of historical buildings, gorgeous street art, and fantastic mountain views. Get settled at your Whitehorse accommodation, and once you’ve made yourself at home and are feeling refreshed, you can take some time to get to know this beautiful mountain town. Stroll along the majestic Yukon River, check things out at the Visitor Information Centre, and grab a bite to eat at one of the many fun and eclectic downtown restaurants within walking distance.
Getting up to Whitehorse is easy when you fly with Air North. They offer two free pieces of luggage per person and include a delicious snack during your flight.

Upgrade your accommodations to include premium or kitchenette rooms for additional amenities for your Yukon trip.
  • Day 2: Canoeing Yukon

Whitehorse is named for the frothing rapids of the Yukon River, the host for your adventure for the day. Grab your oar and climb into your canoe, and get ready for an amazing experience of paddling through sparkling currents on a six-hour, 28 kilometre trek to Lake Laberge. This tour is the perfect way to enjoy a Yukon summer day, and includes hotel pick-up and drop-off, fully catered northern lunch, and additional snacks and refreshments. Professional guides will ensure you have all the necessary equipment and help you navigate the river so you can relax and enjoy your incredible day on the water!
Explore your options for floating as a duo or solo – you can choose between canoe or kayak for this adventure.

    (additional charge)

Feeling inspired by the vast Yukon wilderness and creative, funky vibes of Whitehorse? Try something new and channel your creative energy into the art of glass blowing. Experienced instructors will show you the ropes and help you sculpt a unique glass piece that will serve as the perfect souvenir for your trip. Choose between a quick intro, a one-hour class, or a longer workshop to really get into the craft.
  • Day 3: The World's Smallest Desert

You’re in for an amazing day of stimulating hiking trails, scenic beaches, emerald waters, and of course, Yukon’s tiny desert. Your hiking and sight-seeing adventure will include transportation to and from the hotel and stops at Emerald Lake, Sam McGee Trail, Caribou Crossing, Husky Village, and RCMP Museum. Your knowledgeable hiking guide will help you explore Carcross Desert and its local town, take you for a stroll along Bennett Beach, and provide a full lunch, snacks, and refreshments. This eight hour excursion is a great way to explore the areas outside of Whitehorse and take in the magnificent scenery and fascinating history the countryside has to offer.
Carcross Desert is owned and maintained by the Tagish First Nations people. Help ensure the protection of these beautiful lands by packing out all your trash, and pick up any litter you may see along the way.

    (additional charge)

Conclude your day of hiking and sight-seeing with an entry to the Canada Games Centre. The full service multi-use community sport, recreation and wellness facility offers daily recreation drop-in opportunities, diverse and interactive programming for all ages, and local, national and international events. Their hot tubs will offer the perfect soak after your full-day adventure.
  • Day 4: Horses and Huskies

This day will certainly be the standout for animal lovers. Your day will start with an invigorating and exciting hike with husky dogs in the rugged Yukon wilderness. A certified backcountry guide will accompany you and your husky companions on a five hour exploration of the Fish Lake area and provide a picnic lunch to fuel you for your next adventure. After one last pet for the pups, it will be time to saddle up and hit the trail! Don’t forget to stretch before you swing up onto your horse. Your guide will provide all needed equipment and make sure you feel safe with your horse before showing you the best trails in the area on your three hour journey.
After a long day outdoors, you must be hungry! With various options to enjoy a delicious meal in downtown Whitehorse, we suggest that you visit Antoinette’s, G&P, Miner’s Daughter, Gold Pan Saloon or Gather Cafe & Taphouse.

    (additional charge)

For a uniquely Yukon experience, move your horseback adventure to the evening and enjoy a Midnight Sun ride.
  • Day 5: Bike the Mountains and Soak in the Springs

Climb to new heights on a thrilling mountain bike tour. Mount McIntyre offers a skills park as well as some of the Yukon’s newest single-track. Your bike and helmet rental and professional guidance and instruction are included on your three hour journey around Fish Lake and Whitehorse Valley, and you’ll be treated to sensational views, varied terrain, and many a thrill. After your most intense and exerting adventure yet, you’ll travel to the nearby hot springs to unwind and rejuvenate. You’re in for a one-of-a-kind spa and hot springs experience, including hot pools, Japanese clay tubs, saunas and steam rooms, fire pits, and heated cement loungers. It’s the perfect luxury experience to wrap up your unforgettable tour of the Yukon.
Plan for a low-key final evening in Whitehorse. Between heart-pounding mountain biking and hours of Nordic relaxation, you’ll be mellowed out and ready to put your feet up after supper.

    (additional charge)

Upgrade this Yukon tour to the Mountain Hero full day adventure for even more thrills and more intensity as you mountain bike the varied landscapes of the Carcross area. You’ll be treated to exploration of old mining relics, 360 degree mountain-top views, and a blazing 1000 metre descent to the shores of Nares Lake.
  • Day 6: Farewell!

It’s time to pack up your belongings and check out of your hotel. Don’t forget to search your room for any leftover belongings; it’s a long way to return to pick up any forgotten items! If you haven’t done so already, be sure to check in for your flight and arrange for transportation to the airport. The airport is small and has limited amenities compared to others around the world, so plan to charge your electronics and grab a snack before you depart.
If you have some time, visit Burnt Toast Café for brunch! This fun and funky little restaurant offers great atmosphere and eclectic breakfast food from 8am -11am.

    (additional charge)

Depending on your flight’s departure, you could include a half day museum hopping, fishing, or taking an aerial tour. Or, extend your Whitehorse tour to explore the territory and take a road trip to visit Dawson City, Haines Junction or explore their beautiful National Parks.
