Suggested Itinerary

  • Day 1: Travel To Banff National Park

Travel to Banff! The drive become much more beautiful as the mountains get closer and closer. The twinned, divided highway takes you to the National Park gate and if you are staying in Banff, it’s a short drive from there. If you selected to stay in Lake Louise, you are about 45 minutes away from the hotel. The road to your accommodations is full of spectacular mountain vistas, but keep your eyes open for wildlife. When you arrive at your hotel, your lift tickets will be waiting for you, so you don’t have to worry about grabbing these the next day. This evening, explore the area near you and prepare for your next day on the slopes.
Check the snow reports at www.snow-forecast.com for all of the chilly stats on one site.

    (additional charge)

Upgrade your accommodations to include a king size bed, suite or a room with a balcony.
  • Day 2: Ride Three of the Worlds Best

Wake up and enjoy a hearty breakfast while you decide on which of the three areas will be your target for the day: Lake Louise, Sunshine Village or Mount Norquay. When you’re ready, gear up, pack the vehicle with the items you need for the day and drive or take the shuttle to the resort of your choice. As you have your lift passes, you can get there for the first lift in the morning, prior to the lunch hour or whenever you want. Ride as much or as little as you like and once you have gotten your fill of the slopes, pack up and head back to the hotel for a relaxing evening.
Consider riding Norquay or Sunshine on these days so you can leave Lake Louise to the following day. That way, its a closer drive to Golden, BC on the fourth day.

    (additional charge)

Take a dip in the Banff Upper Hot Springs. Submerge yourself in the 37 and 40ºC mineral-rich water for a soothing soak. Relaxing in the outdoor pool among the jagged peaks of Rundle and Cascade Mountains is a magical experience. Or, if you would like to enhance your view, join Nightrise at the Banff Gondola. From December to March you can enjoy interactive lights, projections and original soundscapes atop of Sulphur Mountain.
  • Day 3: Its a Busy Day!

Pack up all of your belongings and check out of your hotel. Ensure all of your ski/board gear is accessible for your last day in Banff National Park. Select a new mountain to conquer or choose the same place and find new runs to enjoy. Your day can be spent carving up new runs, grabbing air in the terrain park or enjoying the view and a bevy. When you are ready to wrap your day, jump into your vehicle and take the short drive to Golden, British Columbia to check into your hotel for the evening. Your Kicking Horse Mountain Resort tickets will be picked up at the front desk at this time. This evening, explore the townsite and prepare for your next couple days on the slopes.
If you have less than a half of a tank of gas, its best to fill up in either Banff or Lake Louise before you hit the road for Golden.

    (additional charge)

Upgrade your Golden accommodations to include a premium king room, studio or designer suite.
  • Day 4: Ride the Horse

Gear up, pack the vehicle with the items you need for the day and drive 14km to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. It features over 120 trails across more than 3,486 acres of skiable terrain and a 1,315-metre vertical drop, currently the sixth largest of any North American ski resort. Ride as much or as little as you like and once you have gotten your fill of the slopes, pack up and head back into town for a big meal.
Check the snow report for Kicking Horse at www.snow-forecast.com

    (additional charge)

Want to try something different? Include high performance rentals of skis, snowboards, boots and poles with your package. Or participate in a private lesson, Big Mountain Camps or Avalanche Safety Courses.
  • Day 5: The Last Lap

Pack up all of your belongings and check out of your hotel. Ensure all of your ski/board gear is accessible for your last day in Golden, BC. Spend your time carving up new runs, grabbing air in the terrain park or out on the deck enjoying the view and a bevy. Depending on where you are going from here, discuss your departure time with your crew as it could be a long drive home.
Before you hit the road, stop off at Bear & Bone Burger Co to get in a solid meal. They specialize in homemade, locally sourced hamburgers as well as other homestyle classics. Great place for burgers, steaks, fish ‘n’ chips, sandwiches and more.

    (additional charge)

Feeling a bit pooped out and dreading the drive home? Consider adding another night in Golden, Banff or even Calgary.
