  • DAY 1: Welcome to Canmore!

From Calgary, take your time to travel west towards the stunning mountain range. You know you’re getting closer when you can see the details in the jagged rocky peaks. Check into your superior hotel room at the Pocaterra Inn and Waterslides and take the rest of the day to explore the many unique shops and eateries around town.
If you are looking for a place to grab a bite, visit the Grizzly Paw. They serves up delicious traditional fare such as domestic and exotic, hand made burgers, salads, fish and chips, and other delightful dishes. Plus they make fantastic beers and soda’s with freshwater that streams out of the Canmore reservoir.

    (additional charge)

On your way to Canmore, add the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary to the itinerary. You will go inside their Engadine enclosure to the viewing platform with one of their guides and learn all about the Sanctuary and get an introduction to what wolfdogs are all about through their 30-minute presentation. This is a great way to photograph one of their packs of wolfdogs as well as having full access to your very own wolfdog expert. Upgrade your Wolfdog experience to the Interactive Tour of the Sanctuary and come face to face with the animals. Or you can upgrade your accommodations at the Pocaterra Inn in Canmore to include a king size bed or a suite.

  • DAY 2: Hang Beside A Waterfall

Good morning! Enjoy your hot breakfast, stretch and get ready for adventure! You’ll be given all of the necessary training and equipment required for the excursion, but you’ll need to bring close toed shoes, swim wear, dry clothes, and snacks. This is one of the most secluded, wild, & spectacular canyon trips you’ll experience anywhere. The all day tour rewards you with remote mountain vistas and a canyon experience second to none. It includes natural slides, rappelling down waterfalls, and jumping into pools! Light hiking and scrambling required to get to the location, so prepare for a variety of terrain. Once the tour has ended, you’ll dry off and make your way back into town for another evening surrounded in mountainous beauty.
We bet you’re hungry! If you are looking for Canadian dishes or creative international fusion food and drinks, then visit Blake Restaurant, Brewhouse and Distillery. Their evolving menu has a variety of selections to satisfy you. We recommend the Aloo Tiki Pakora Sandwich.

Today you make your way into the belly of a mountain, so stretch, pick up your gear from the office and grab some water for your next amazing experience. After a short hike, your guide will prepare you as you enter the cave. You will spend the next 4 hours underground climbing, crawling, wiggling and sliding your way through water-worn passages, past prehistoric bones, and investigating ancient cave formations. This tour also includes an 18m rappel (that’s 6 stories!) into a cavern below, You will view some stunning features of this cave system before returning to the surface. Once you have completed this activity, refuel with a coffee, tea or meal from town before you hit the road to head home.
Wherever you travel, stop along the way to enjoy the view.
