After you check into your hotel, turn off your vehicle and wander around to explore the quaint shops, local eateries and stunning views. Take this time to relax as the next few days will be busy.
If you are looking for a place to grab a bite, visit the Grizzly Paw. Plus they make fantastic beers and soda’s with freshwater that streams out of the Canmore reservoir.

Add the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary to the itinerary. You will go inside their engadine enclosure to the viewing platform with one of their guides and learn all about the Sanctuary and get an introduction to what wolfdogs are all about through their 30-minute presentation. This is a great way to photograph one of their packs of wolfdogs as well as having full access to your very own wolfdog expert. Upgrade your Wolfdog experience to the Interactive Tour of the Sanctuary and come face to face with the animals. Or you can upgrade your accommodations at the Pocaterra Inn in Canmore to include a king size bed or a suite.

  • DAY 2: Trail Blazin'

Enjoy a relaxed morning and wake a walk down the Bow River Trail to enjoy the scenic views. In the afternoon, you will visit an authentic ranch, meet the horses, learn some techniques and then saddle up to take a 3.5 hour horseback riding adventure through the backcountry. Your team will lead you along various trails, under the wide open skies and put you in a place where you can breathe in the majestic scenery. Following this thrilling experience, explore some of the hiking trails in the area or make your way back to Canmore for the evening.
The Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required for vehicles accessing Kananaskis Country, so be sure to purchase it online before heading out this morning.

Upgrade to a full-day trail ride for an even more immersive experience, which includes lunch.
  • DAY 3: Enter the Earth

Wake up, enjoy a hot breakfast and gear up for adventure. Today you make your way into the belly of a mountain, so stretch, pick up your gear from the office and grab some water for your next amazing experience. After a short hike, your guide will prepare you as you enter the cave. You will spend the next 2 hours underground climbing, crawling, wiggling and sliding your way through water-worn passages, past prehistoric bones, and investigating ancient cave formations. You will view some stunning features of this cave system before returning to the surface.
If the harsh Alberta weather is getting to you, visit the Rocky Mountain Soap Company. Their handmade personal care products, crafted locally with 100% natural ingredients, offer a range of skincare, bath, and body items free from synthetic chemicals.

Today you’ll hop on a fancy e-bike and follow your private tour guide to various local food destinations, enjoying mouth-watering eats while getting a behind-the-scenes treatment from some of the Rockies boutique eateries. The leisurely tour is not intense, making it perfect for all fitness levels. With your step-through E-Bike, you can relax and enjoy the ride with it’s pedal-assist; so if you’re in the mood for some more exercise, you can turn it off.
