  • Day 1: Settle In

    Welcome to Edmonton! Upon arriving in Alberta’s capital city, make your way to the Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel by APA in downtown and check into your hotel room. If you’re exhausted from your travels, kick your shoes off and relax. If you’re looking to explore a bit, venture off into the core to visit the vibrant street art and murals that adorn various buildings in the area. Today is meant to settle into your surroundings, so enjoy!
    Forget something? Within a short walk of your hotel, you get access to City Centre Mall and Jasper Avenue shops. From boutique to box stores, these two shopping areas will have what you need.

All include added space in the room with more amenities and features. if you’ve arrived early, delve into the beauty of Edmonton’s iconic glass pyramids at the Muttart Conservatory. Here you’ll explore diverse botanical gardens, marvel at exotic plants, and enjoy the unique flora from around the world.
  • Day 2: Hike and Segway the River Valley

    Good morning! Enjoy a breakfast at the hotel, or grab something nearby then walk over to the river valley for your first experience. Start with 30 minutes of in-depth training from certified Segway trainers to learn how to use the machines, then embark on an exhilarating 60 minute ride through North America’s largest urban parkland. Take in the breathtaking river valley scenery, noting where you wish to explore in the afternoon. Once you return to stable ground, find lunch at a nearby restaurant or café, then explore a sample of Edmonton’s river valley system that spans over 7,300 hectares and stretches 48 kilometers from end to end. Wander through major parks, along the riverfront or take one of the numerous interconnected trails over to Whyte Ave to explore the local boutique shops.
    Whyte Avenue in Edmonton’s Old Strathcona district is a vibrant, historic street known for its unique shops, diverse dining options, and lively nightlife. It’s a cultural hub hosting various events and festivals, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists.

    If you’re looking to conclude your evening in style, include a performance at the Winspear Centre or the Citadel Theatre! Get your fill of world-class music, spectacular performances or entertaining theatrical shows while you’re in town.
  • Day 3: Food, Food, Food

    Wake up and have a light breakfast before you head out on todays experience. Walk over to pick up your fancy e-bike and learn how it works before you venture off on your Food Bike Tour through Edmonton’s culinary hotspots. Pedal through scenic neighborhoods and vibrant districts, stopping at local eateries and cafes to sample an array of delicious dishes. Savour gourmet meals, ethnic cuisine, and artisanal treats while learning about the city’s culinary history from chefs and food artisans. Once you’ve gotten your fill, and you’re looking for something light to do in the area, make your way over to explore the iconic Alberta Legislature Building, learn about the province’s political history, and understand the legislative process.
    Watch the sunset from the Roof Top Patio at Courtyard by Marriott. After a long day of indulging, have a lighter dinner or sip a cocktail from this elevated patio with panoramic views of the city.

  • Day 4: A Day of Education

    Good morning! When you’re ready, head over to the Royal Alberta Museum to discover fascinating exhibits on Alberta’s natural and cultural history, including Indigenous artifacts and stories, in this newly established building. Don’t miss the Natural History Hall, Human History Hall, and the engaging Bug Gallery. In the late afternoon, dive into a unique, one of a kind tour to explore more of the local Indigenous history, sacred sites, and geological wonders in downtown Edmonton. On this light walk, you’ll hear how the river valley possesses medicinal plants that are still used by local First Nations and Métis and get stories from the past, gaining a deeper understanding of the land and its significance. Into the evening, participate in a relaxing and scenic ride down the North Saskatchewan River on a Stand Up Paddleboard during the twilight hours.
    After dinner, when the sun begins to set, take a stroll down 104th Street and visit the Neon Sign Museum to see a collection of restored neon signs from Edmonton’s past.

  • Day 5: That's a wrap!

    It’s time to pack up your belongings and check out of your accommodations by 11am. Don’t forget to search your room for any left-over belongings; its a long way to return to pick up any forgotten items. If you haven’t done so already, be sure to charge your devices, and view the road reports or check in online for your flight. We hope you were able to explore Edmonton and see what the city had to offer.
    If you have time to spare, visit the Greatest Indoor Show On Earth, at West Edmonton Mall. Access over 800 stores and a wide range of attractions, including Galaxyland, World Waterpark, an indoor ice rink, an aquarium, mini golf, recreational facilities and more!
