Good morning! We start early today as we meet at the north side of the Edmonton Inn and Conference Centre to load the motor coach. Be early to sign in, load your gear and take your seat.
6:40 AM – Meet at the north side of the Edmonton Inn and Conference Centre 11834 Kingsway NW
7:00 AM – Coach departs
8:00 AM – Discussion about photographic controls and process’
9:15 AM – Meet with the Discovery Wildlife team to begin the exclusive backstage guide tour. You will get up close with various animals like wolves and bears to learn about their individual stories, instincts and how they interact with the staff. This time will be used to create images and develop visual storytelling techniques.
11:00 AM – Lunch stop (not provided, students are encouraged to bring snacks on the bus).
12:00 PM – Photography discussion.
3:45 PM – Private guided access to the petroglyphs and hoodoos at Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park.
5:45 PM – Coach departs for Lethbridge.
7:15 PM – Arrive at the Sandman Signature Lethbridge. Check in, grab a bite, relax in the pool or take sunset photos at the next door Indian Battle Park,

Wear layers of clothing so you can remove or add them as required by our Alberta weather.
Wear good comfortable shoes (hiking shoes/boots are recommended, no flip flops).
Bring all of your photography gear, lenses, filters, extra batteries and storage cards, and tripod. The coach will be locked and items can be left at owner’s risk.

Good morning! We have another early start today, so grab your breakfast, check out of your room and load the motor coach.
6:45 AM – Coach available for loading.
7:00 AM – Coach departs
7:30 AM – Arrive at the Birds of Prey Centre before they open for VIP access to their residents. You’ll have the opportunity to photograph various birds from a far and up close as well as a flight presentation.
10:00 AM – Photography discussion.
11:30 AM – Lunch stop (not provided, students are encouraged to bring snacks on the bus).
12:15 PM – Meet with the team at the Chinook Honey Company. Guests will get a private tour and then gear up in beekeeper attire to get up close with the buzzing bees.
2:00 PM – Photography discussion.
3:45 PM – Meet the blacksmith team at the Lacombe Blacksmith Museum. View one of the oldest blacksmith shops in all of Canada and receive a demonstration of the ancient art.
4:45 PM – Dinner stop (not provided).
5:15 PM – Coach departs for Edmonton.
7:00 PM – Arrive at the north side of the Edmonton Inn and Conference Centre 11834 Kingsway NW. Tour concludes.

As we will be outside, it’s best to have a hat to give you some shade from the sunshine.
